I had wanted to make a hat for a long time. When I finally came across one with the word "FUCK" on it in big black letters I knew what must be done. I removed the letters (later going on my metal vest known as Halford's Monster) and sewed on a Lust Hag (black metal artist) patch to it. I also bend over pop tabs on the rim with pliers, and those tend to fall off. I realized that this hat made me really look cis when I wear it so I tried to curb that a few ways. I sewed on that strap to attach buttons to and added 3 (One that says "Yuri" in japanese, TOMB (an art gallery in MA), and a 50's era button I got from a friend in high school (that just looked neat). I also added the trans symbol to the side of the hat. Overall while I like the result, I don't wear it often as I feel it really makes me look too cis. Sometimes I break it out for Black Metal shows.
